On 22 February 2024, the European Cybersecurity Competence Centre (ECCC) held its first on-site Info Day event in Bucharest, Romania.

In addition there were presentations by new Executive Director of the ECCC Luca Tagliaretti and information on current and future DEP calls from Francesco Barbato and EU collaboration from Roberto Cascella from ECSO.

The presentation “Writing a DEP Cybersecurity proposal Tips & Tricks” presented by Felicia Cutas was excellent in terms of advising on the Digital Europe Programme applications for cybersecurity.

There was also an interesting panel session from the NCCs from Cypress, Sweden and Spain on how they can help support DEP Funding applicants.

There were 15 companies pitching and all the pitches were extremely innovative and interesting. A successful applicant Erlend Andreas Gjære in a past DEP call gave us the benefit of his experience! Definitely worth attending one of these if you are thinking about applying for DEP and attending information sessions run by National Cyber Security Centre, Ireland (NCSC-IE) and Cyber Ireland as well.

A big thanks to Alexandra Madsen for the photos and to the European Cybersecurity Competence Centre (ECCC) for the welcome and putting on a great event in beautiful Bucharest.
